1.
A rather large, unstable chemical that some people claim tastes like sugar.
Despite being called an 'additive' it breaks down into numerous other chemicals, one of which is very bad for people with a certain genetic disorder. Methyl alcohol (the stuff in windshield wiper fluid) is also a common by-product and really isn't good for anybody

Artificial Sweetener. Terribly dangerous, causing sickness, brain tumors, allergic reactions, memory loss, weight gain, and more. Breaks down into, among other things, formic acid, which is what causes hangovers. Also causes carbohydrate cravings! There's actually a memo circulated by the US Air Force warning its pilots to never have anything with any amount of aspartame, or be GROUNDED FOR A YEAR!

(Or E951) Is a sugar substitute, also classified as an "excitotoxin", found mainly in tea sweeteners such as Equal/Nutrasweet, diet drinks and sugar free products. Aspartame consists of 50% aspartic acid, 40% phenylalanine and 10% methanol.

Aspartame is known to be a very dangerous substance as many people have been complaining of over 92 different health side-effects after consuming it. Short term side-effects include headaches/migraines, dizziness, difficulty thinking and nausea, whereas long-term consuption of it has been known to cause diseases such as fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, blindness and brain tumours.

During digestion, the methanol breaks down into formaldehyde and formic acid which is then absorbed into the bloodstream. These two substances have the potential to break down the blood-brain barrier and destroy neurons and brain cells. Aspartic acid and phenylalanine are actually utilized by our bodies in small doses, but in high amounts, they are neurotoxic.

Aspartame is a chemical consisting of aspartic acid, phenylalanine and methyl alcohol. It is an artifical sweetener to which a few people are sensitive but never to the extent of peanuts or wheat. It will decompose to form aspartic acid and phenylalanine which are amino acids that are essential to your health. It also forms methyl alcohol but you get more methanol eating an orange than drinking a can of soda containing aspartame. It has never been shown to be dangerous to people. Some people try to say that pilots have been told to never ingest aspartame or they will be fired. That is simply a lie. I know a tremendous amount about aspartame because I spent 4 years studying it's kinetic decomposition. I doubt the other people reporting about aspartme here really know what they are taliking about.
The government has shown that drink soft drinks containing aspartame is not dangerous unless it is consumed in very large quantities.
